Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at ailawsofpower.com, the After the Build free resource, the AI Power Laws course, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by AI Laws of Power (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing the Service, submitting your email address, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Free Resource

After the Build is a complimentary strategic brief delivered to your email address. By submitting your email to receive it, you also agree to receive our newsletter and related emails about the course.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing privacy@ailawsofpower.com. Unsubscribing does not delete your account if one was created.

3. Member Accounts

Submitting your email on the landing page creates a member account. You will receive a magic link to set a password and access the member portal. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide an accurate email address. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or used by more than one individual.

4. Membership and Payment

Access to the course requires a paid membership. Payments are processed by our payment provider. Prices are shown at checkout and are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.

  • ·Membership costs $240 per year, shown on the site as $20/month, billed annually at $240. It is billed annually, in advance, and renews automatically each year at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • ·We will tell you about any price change at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal.
  • ·You can cancel at any time from your Account Settings page. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • ·Deleting your account cancels your membership immediately and ends your access. You will not be charged again.
  • ·Apart from the finish-the-course guarantee below, and except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we do not issue partial refunds for unused time.

Finish-the-course guarantee. If you complete every lecture in the course and do not think the course was worth it, we refund the full amount you paid for your first year of membership. These are the conditions:

  • ·“Every lecture in the course” means every lecture video published in the course: the introduction, the 13 law lectures and the closing lecture.
  • ·Completing a lecture means watching its video in the course player. You must have watched at least 95% of the video's length, counted second by second, so replaying part of a lecture or skipping ahead does not count toward it. Our video system must also have recorded you playing at least 90% of the video's length. Marking a lesson complete, or reading a lecture's slides, does not count.
  • ·You must complete every lecture within the first 12 months of your membership, counted from your first payment.
  • ·You must claim within 30 days of completing the last lecture, using the claim button on your Account Settings page.
  • ·The guarantee covers your first paid year of membership only; renewals are not covered. One claim per member.
  • ·When you claim, we refund the full amount you paid for your first year, cancel your membership immediately and end your access. If a renewal has already been charged when you claim, we refund that too.
  • ·Progress is recorded by the video player. If your browser blocks the player's reporting, for example with an ad blocker, a lecture you watched may not be recorded. Our video system's record can take several hours to arrive; until it does, a lecture you finished shows as awaiting confirmation.

5. Intellectual Property

All course content, briefs, frameworks, written materials, and visual assets are the exclusive property of AI Laws of Power and are protected by copyright. Your purchase or account grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the content for your own learning purposes only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or resell any part of the content without our prior written consent. This includes sharing login credentials, screen-recording lessons, or redistributing materials to third parties.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • ·Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • ·Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • ·Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract content from the Service by automated means.
  • ·Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • ·Transmit any content that is harassing, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all content within it are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

The frameworks, analyses, and strategic content provided through the Service are for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal, financial, or business advice. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Laws of Power and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $50.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Laws of Power from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access paid content ceases immediately. If termination is initiated by us without cause, we will refund a pro-rated portion of any prepaid subscription fees.

You may close your account at any time from your Account Settings page. Closing your account cancels your membership and stops future charges.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
